Talmage Boston Interviews Dr. Henry Kissinger

By Talmage Boston on March 26, 2013

On March 15, the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth hosted a luncheon featuring Dr. Henry Kissinger who was interviewed by Talmage Boston.

A recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Medal of Liberty, Dr. Henry Kissinger played a prominent role in United States foreign policy. He served as National Security Advisor and later concurrently as Secretary of State in the administrations of Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.  While he has numerous diplomatic achievements, he is most known for pioneering the policy of détente with the Soviet Union leading to a softening of tensions between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, formalizing relations with China, ending 23 years of diplomatic isolation and negotiating the end to the Yom Kippur War and the cease-fire agreement to the Vietnam War.  His insights on foreign affairs and diplomacy are highly regarded and debated.
